The 2017 Limited Edition Collectors Ornament
The fourteenth annual Christmas in St. Michaels collectors ornament honors the many beloved canine retrievers that are so important to life on the Eastern Shore both as pets and as working dogs. Favored by waterfowl hunters, retrievers are highly intelligent and excel at fetching and retrieving. They are dedicated companions and respond well to training and kind handling.
The artwork by local artist Joanne Buritsch, inspired by the many years of experience with her own much-loved dogs, depicts three distinctive favorites: the Chesapeake Bay Retriever (now the State Dog of Maryland), the Golden Retriever, and the Labrador Retriever.
